Puede instalar un nuevo Ubuntu Muslim Edition o convertir una instalación standard de Ubuntu:


=====Instalación Ubuntu Muslim Edition desde DVD =====

**CD 1**

**CD 2**

para instalar :
  * Ir a "System-Administration-Software sources"
  * Haga clic en la pestaña "Third Party Software"
  * Haga clic en "Add CD-ROM" e inserte su CD
  * Haga clic en "Close"

  sudo aptitude update
  sudo aptitude install aptoncd-metapackage
  sudo aptitude upgrade

==== Convertir Ubuntu 8.04 ====

Para convertir **Ubuntu 8.04** ("Hardy Heron"), siga estos pasos:\\

Abra una terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal), y ejecute el siguiente comando:

  gksudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list

Añada las siguientes lineas al final del archivo:

  deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/ubuntume.team/ubuntu hardy main # Ubuntu Muslim Edition
  deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/ubuntume.team/ubuntu hardy main # Ubuntu Muslim Edition

Guarde el archivo y cierre el editor.\\ 
Ejecute el siguiente comando:

  sudo aptitude update

Después instale en paquete ubuntume:

  sudo aptitude install ubuntume

Responda 'Yes/Sí' cuando sea necesario.\\ 
Si quiere instalar opcionalmente el paquete [[webstrict|WebStrict]] (Filtrado de Contenido Web), solo ejecute el siguiente comando:

  sudo aptitude install webstrict

Finalmente, reinicie su computadora para aplicar los cambios.

==== Convert an older Ubuntu installation ====

To convert an older version (Ubuntu Gutsy (7.10), Feisty (7.04), Edgy (6.10) or Dapper (6.06)), follow these steps:\\

Open a terminal window (Applications->Accessories->Terminal) and move to the Desktop directory:

  cd ~/Desktop

Make the script executable by running this command:

  chmod u+x install-ubuntuME.sh

Then run the script with root privileges:

  sudo ./install-ubuntuME.sh

Then the configuration process will ask you if you want to :

  * change your [[screenshots#GDM login screen, GDM splash screen, theme and wallpaper|GDM splash screen]]

For each question answer yes (y) or no (n).
